Dualities in Programming Languages

  1. This paper gives several examples of dualities in programming languages, some well-known, others less so. A duality is a pair of concepts that are similar in surprising or interesting ways. Dualities illuminate programming languages topics from a fun angle. On the practical side, thinking about dualities inspires innovation.
